Amazing brunch with lots of options, comparable food to any famous brunch spot in Vancouver where I'm from. Very beautiful and clean decor with cute details, staff were very professional and nice. I got the croque madame which was excellent, the salad has a nice dressing. My husband got the death by bacon sandwich which was excellent, the garlic aoli on it is bomb!! We also got a biscuit with jam on the side which I highly recommend, the jam is all natural made in Seattle which was a nice touch. They had local paintings on the wall for sale which looked very good. We sat near a birthday party in the next room, looked like a nice private long table for parties that I'd recommend. Definitely going back for brunch soon.

Get on the Yelp waitlist before heading over to save time. The staff here are friendly and fast. We ordered the avocado toast with egg and bacon, plus the two eggs any style with a side of the pouch. For drinks, we tried the Kobuk Samovar tea and an espresso. The tea was a bit too heavy on cinnamon and sugar for my taste, but overall it was a good experience.

Stopped here for dessert, and it was scrumptious! There were some creative items on the menu, and our tea came in aesthetic little glass bulbs. Service was informative, professional, and extremely friendly. The whole restaurant is very cute--modern but cozy.

Visiting my friend and popped in for breakfast. We went to the coffee first. We ordered a dirty chai and mocha. Because the coffee is freshly made expect a little wait time. The dirt chai was amazing.
We then went over to dine. We were sat immediately. The server was very nice and accommodating. We ordered the death by bacon sandwich, Benedict with crab plus scallop cake and a single order of the sourdough pancake.
The sourdough pancake was seriously unique. I loved that it was crepe like. You can taste a hint of sourdough.
The death by bacon was extremely flavorful. The Benedict was amazing and the brioche bread it as served on was super soft. You won’t go wrong ordering any of these items.

This is a fantastic option in Anchorage, especially for those looking for a real coffeehouse drink to go along with the brunch vibe. Shakshuka is my personal favorite. Dinner, and the bar have some quality options too. This place is always my go to when traveling for work, never been disappointed. Can get a little crowded though.

We had a delightful breakfast at South. The staff were welcoming and attentive. Our water came to the table often to make sure we had everything we needed. All the food we had was delicious, especially the Pavlova. It’s to die for.

South Restaurant and Coffeehouse is an outstanding restaurant. Somehow South manages to maintain and elevate their excellence over the years! Their menu changes and additions only enhance their menu. Food standards are high and never waiver. Gluten free? Say no more, this restaurant has got you covered! Enjoy a cocktail with dinner or Mimosa with brunch, this is the place for you! Excellent drinks and selection! Shoutout to Claudia, one of South’s shining star servers!

Spot on as always🔥 I never would order a porkchop out until I had it here first. It changed my perspective and I will now order them out at resturants of this caliber. Its been wonderful every time. The mocktails are very well done as well.

Picture it: peak tourist season, July in Alaska. It's a Saturday night and we need a reservation for 10 and no one is taking reservations. And then South came through! We had a great table in a private area. The service was on point - helpful, prompt, and professional. Let's get to the food -- the star of this experience. I'm a sucker to try French onion soup whenever possible but I'll also judge your establishment based on the quality of this dish and the French onion here is OUTSTANDING. The crab cakes with the poblano sauce were also unbelievably good. In fact, our table of 10 didn't have a dish that wasn't excellent. I'll be back if I'm back in town again.

We initially went to South Restaurant for a wine tasting event they had. Ended up ordering dinner there as well. I had their Mediterranean bowl and my bf had the burger. We both enjoyed our meals and the wine was delish!
We ended up going back a few days later with some friends to try brunch. Everyone loved the food. South Restaurant is def on our list for date nights and happy hours going fwd. Great ambiance, food & cocktails! We'll will probably try another one of their events soon like Bingo or trivia.
